Elaine “Yuri” Yuriko Okutsu, 89, of Hilo died April 5, 2013, at a care home in Hilo. Born Jan. 9, 1924, in Hilo, she was retired from Y. Hata & Co. and Albers Milling Co. and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin and Buddhist Women’s Association.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.
She is survived by sons, Wayne Okutsu and Randal (Marla) Okutsu, both of Hilo; sisters, Samie Goya of Hilo, Helen Nakaoka of Kaneohe, Oahu; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
